Car wash Pioneer Bill Morrison passed away Monday, May 25, 2015.

Bill started working at Broad Street Car Wash in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1955. In 1959, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia to be the Manager at Mr. Kennon’s Minit Car Wash. Bill then began installing new car wash equipment across the Southeast United States for Automatic Car Wash Equipment Company, a Sherman Distributor. Bill installed many car wash packages at car washes that are still in operation today.
In1969, Bill purchased Cars-A- Poppin Full Serve Car Wash in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After operating this wash for eight years, Bill sold the wash in 1976 and founded his equipment company and built, equipped and service car washes across southern Florida. Bill’s son Jimmy joined the company in 1981 and continues installing and servicing car washes today.
Bill retired in 1998 to pursue his lifelong hobby of building and restoring vintage cars. Bill was a very talented man, honest in his dealings with people and enjoyed seeing you succeed in your car wash. Bill was a car washer’s friend.  - Lamar Beck
